I've been on this site for about sixteen years, I learned it from old the wiki section two redesigns ago.
For some reason it's not on the new wiki. I doubt they haven't mentioned that in the text box after you hit submit you just have to read it all first.
But yeah the movie portal is intended for stand alone movies.
